Welcome to Makeup Artistry by Candace

I am a full service makeup artist based out of the Cranbrook, Kootenay Region, British Columbia, Canada.

I have over 16 years of professional experience and have had a wide clientele range.

My love for what I do stems from Art,

Art has always been my passion. It inspires me, drives me, and allows me to contribute to and connect with the world in a unique and beautiful way.

This passion has lead me to a career I have the utmost devotion and love for. A career that lets me to step into someone’s life and enhance the beauty and glamour that lays within. Through makeup artistry, I help women be the best version of their true selves, often during the most meaningful and exciting moments in their lives. And I am grateful for the opportunity; this is why I promise my clientele a personalized, stress-free and unforgettable experience that exceeds the highest of unblemished standards.

I grew up in Cranbrook, B.C., graduating high school with the recognitions of top art student and top stage craft student. I pursued my dreams of becoming an artist at the Kootenay School of the Arts, in Nelson, B.C. Although I excelled with top marks, I didn’t find my professional calling until discovering Blanch Macdonald Institute in Vancouver, B.C, where I graduated with honours as a makeup artist in 2006.

I dedicated the next chapter of my life to working in the makeup industry, focused on building an exceptional reputation and loyal clientele. I was employed by Holt Renfrew in Pacific Centre in Vancouver working at Bobbi Brown, Giorgio Armani and NARS cosmetic counters, before joining MAC Cosmetics -- the leading cosmetic industry trendsetter -- from 2007-2015.

At MAC Cosmetics I worked alongside some true inspirational talents, gaining immeasurable experience. My time there helped me build the extensive makeup kit, life skills, talent, and tools necessary to be the elite artist I am today.

I returned to my roots, 9 years ago relocating my family back to my hometown of Cranbrook with a clear career focus:

But most importantly, I will draw from my passion as an artist and ensure I understand my client’s wishes and needs in order to deliver a look that brings out their inner goddess. I will work with the natural canvas of the person, accentuating her uniquely beautiful features and treating every job as the distinctive experience it is.
